Workshop on Scholarship and RA Opportunities held at CIU

A workshop on “Scholarship & RA Opportunities Abroad” was held recently at CIU campus. The event was jointly organized by CIU & Career Cafe-a nonprofit organization for career mentoring.

Prof. Dr. Irshad Kamal Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of CIU was present as the chief guest whilst among others Dr. Mahmud Hassan, Associate Prof. of Independent Business School (IBS), Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman, Librarian & Head of Learning Service Division of CIU, Shabbir Ahmad Tamim, Founder of Career Café were also present. In the workshop, Shamim Jubair Ahmed, PhD Research Fellow (MEXT Scholar) of University of Tokyo, Japan was present as the facilitator.

In the event, elaborate discussion was held on scholarship & RA opportunities abroad, while the facilitator also explained other relevant issues such as motivation on higher studies, advance planning, preparation for GRE/GMAT/IELTS/TOEFL, university selection, study option, process of communicating with professors, preparing SOP/Resume/Application docket, submission of application etc.
