Dr. Sayema Sultana joined Chittagong Independent University as an Assistant Professor in Department of Accounting, CIU Business School in 2019 after completing her Ph. D. in 2018 from the University of Malaya, Malaysia under Postgraduate Research Fund (PPP). Earlier, she completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA), major in Finance from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in 2011 with Chancellor’s Gold Medal award for achieving highest academic excellence (CGPA of 4.00 out of 4.00). Previously, she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), major in Accounting and Minor in Finance in 2010 with Magna Cum Laude (CGPA 3.93 out of 4.00) from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). She has passed her HSC in 2004 from Ispahani Public School and College, Chattogram and SSC in 2002 from Dr. Khastagir Govt. Girls’ High School, Chattogram. Dr. Sayema has several scholarly publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals including an impact factor publication. She has also presented her papers in globally reputed conferences. Dr. Sayema is also a reviewer of international peer-reviewed journals. Her research interest encompasses in sustainability, behavioral finance, environmental accounting, and business ethics.
