SLASS Debating Society (SDS) started its journey unofficially on 14th March 2019 in order to give a platform to the students of SLASS to develop their cognitive, communicative and rhetorical skills. SDS holds regular weekly practice sessions of Debates /MUN/ Public Speaking etc.
SDS will also organize intra & inter department Debate/Public Speaking/MUN championships within SLASS on a regular basis in order to select the most competent speakers/debaters to compete and represent SLASS in the Inter-School/Faculty Championships to be organized by the CIUDC, the central debating club of Chittagong Independent University.
