Mental Health and Well-being Center (MHWC) Center
At Chittagong Independent University (CIU), we believe that true education extends beyond the classroom. Academic success and personal growth are deeply intertwined with emotional and psychological well-being. Recognizing this, the Mental Health and Wellbeing Center (MHWC) Center has been established not just as a support service, but as an integral part of the university experience.
Through this initiative, CIU is committed to creating an environment where students are encouraged to understand themselves, overcome personal challenges, and build the resilience needed to thrive in both academic and personal spheres. By promoting self-awareness, emotional strength, and mental clarity, we aim to cultivate individuals who are not only successful in their studies but also prepared to take on leadership roles, think critically, and drive positive change in their communities and beyond.
The MHWC represents our long-term vision of developing well-rounded, mindful graduates who are equipped to face the complexities of the modern world—with empathy, confidence, and integrity.
To nurture a mentally resilient and emotionally intelligent CIU community by providing compassionate, confidential, and culturally sensitive mental health support.
The MHWC is committed to enhancing the psychological well-being of the CIU community by offering individualized counselling, group support, and proactive mental health education aligned with global best practices and local cultural needs.
