Dr. Mohammad Ayub Islam is currently working as the Advisor of the CIU Business School at CIU. Before joining CIU he was working with Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) Chittagong Campus as the MBA Coordinator for more than a decade. With his extensive experience of more than a quarter of a century within University level education Professor Islam is regarded as one of the most notable scholars in the business academic field in Bangladesh. Professor Islam received the Commonwealth Scholarship for his Post-Doctorate Degree with University of Aberdeen in UK where his research topic was Environmental Accounting. Professor Islam completed his PhD from University of Chittagong. Professor Islam has successfully supervised four PhD students and he is currently supervising five PhD and two MPhil candidates at Chittagong University. Professor Islam is a notable author with a number of publications and his book titled ‘Forest Resource Management’ has been published by VDM Publishing House Limited of Germany. He has also published in various national and international journals and participated in many international conferences. Dr. Islam is currently working on an UNDP Project and has visited many Universities in USA to gain further knowledge on how educational institutes around the world work. His project is highly regarded within the academic circle and many of the findings have been implemented by the United Nations for the development of Tertiary Level studies in Bangladesh. Currently he is also appointed as a Director of Chittagong Stock Exchange Ltd.
