(New Scholarship Opportunity for Undergraduate Students)
Chittagong Independent University (CIU) proudly announces a new partnership with Youngone Group & Korean EPZ to support meritorious undergraduate students in Business, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), and Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) programs.
Through a generous donation of BDT. 10.96 Million, Youngone Group & Korean EPZ will fund the university education of selected undergraduate students at CIU. This initiative reflects CIU’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and fostering future leadership through strong industry-academia collaboration.
Financial Accessibility: The scholarship will reduce financial barriers for deserving meritorious students, enabling them to pursue higher education without economic constraints.
Mentorship Opportunities: Scholarship recipients may get mentorship from Youngone Executives.
Internship Opportunities: Scholarship recipients may get internship opportunities at Youngone Corporation during their final semester, providing hands-on industry experience.
Career Prospects: Successful interns may be considered for full-time employment at Youngone Corporation upon graduation.
International Study Program: Outstanding graduates may also get the opportunity to pursue a Master’s program in South Korea through Youngone Corporation, with potential scholarship support.
Duration: Four (4) Years - Full Undergraduate Program

The scholarship program is set to launch with the Summer Semester 2025. The selection process will begin following the Summer 2025 Admission Test.
SSC, HSC and Equivalent | Aggregate GPA of 9.0 in secondary and higher secondary level. |
O Level, A level and Equivalent | At least 5 subjects in O Level and At least 2 subjects in A Level with a minimum 3 As. |
Other Equivalent Exams | International Baccalaureate or US High School Diploma or Other 12-year equivalent degree (must have the equivalence certificate from the Ministry of Education) ** |
Interested applicants must qualify through the Summer 2025 Admission Test at CIU, complete the admission formalities by paying the Tk. 15,000/- admission fee, and submit the prescribed scholarship application form within the stipulated time. Only upon fulfillment of these requirements students will be considered for the scholarship. Qualified admitted students will be invited for a special written test and selection interviews.
Final scholarship awardees will be selected based on academic merit, admission test results, special written test, interview performance.
Scholarship recipients must submit their original Certificates and Transcripts of the 10+2 examinations to the University without exception. These documents shall remain in the custody of the University until the recipients have successfully completed their graduation requirements
Recipients of the Youngone–CIU Scholarship must adhere to the following conditions:
Must register for a minimum 12 Credits in each semester and maintain CGPA of 3.7 or above in semester-end results throughout four years.
Remain enrolled as a full-time student at CIU.
Comply with all academic regulations, attendance requirements, and codes of conduct of CIU.
Avoid any form of disciplinary action or academic probation.
If any scholarship recipient withdraws from the enrolled program or transfers to another institution at any point during the course of their studies, the scholarship will be deemed automatically terminated with immediate effect. In such circumstances, the student shall be obligated to reimburse Chittagong Independent University (CIU) the full amount of the scholarship disbursed to them up to the date of termination, including but not limited to semester fees, tuition fees, and any other related charges covered under the scholarship program. Failure to comply with the reimbursement requirement within the stipulated timeframe set by the university may result in further administrative action, including but not limited to the withholding of academic transcripts, certificates, or other official documents until the outstanding amount is settled in full.
All decisions made by CIU management regarding the selection, continuation, suspension, or termination of the scholarship shall be final and conclusive for the scholarship recipients.
No appeal, reconsideration, or challenge to any decision of CIU management will be entertained under any circumstances.
By accepting the scholarship, the scholarship recipient agrees to waive any right to initiate any legal proceedings, claims, or demands against CIU or its representatives in relation to the scholarship program.
