Dr. Syed Manzur Quader is currently working as the Dean and Professor of Chittagong Independent University Business School (CIUBS). He joined CIU in 2013 after completing his Ph.D. from the University of Sheffield, UK, one of the 24 research-intensive universities in the globally acclaimed Russel Group. He was also awarded the prestigious University of Sheffield Ph.D. studentship to work on his thesis titled “Corporate Efficiency, Financial Constraints and the Role of Internal Finance: A Study on Capital Market Imperfection”. Earlier, Dr. Quader graduated in Economics from the University of Dhaka in 2003 with first-class honors and gained his MSc in Financial and Business Economics with distinction from the University of Essex, UK in 2005.
