Research Symposium at CIU Department of English

On February 27, 2025, the Department of English at Chittagong Independent University (CIU), recently hosted a Research Symposium featuring an engaging presentation by Md. Rifat Ahmed on Endangered Languages: Causes, Effects, and Remedies.

The session was inaugurated by Charmain Rodrigues, the Assistant Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and all faculty members of the department were present. After the presentation, a thought-provoking scholarly discussion took place, highlighting key issues related to language endangerment and preservation.

The session concluded with closing remarks and a vote of thanks from Leema Sen Gupta, the Head of the Department of English. CIU's Department of English regularly organizes such academic sessions to foster intellectual growth and research engagement.
