Amar Ekushey and International Mother Language Day
With due respect and solemnity Chittagong Independent University (CIU) observed 21st February `Amar Ekushey’ and `International Mother Language Day’ and paid tribute to the martyrs of the language movement. To mark the day, CIU chalked out elaborate programmes including discussion, placing floral wreaths at CIU Campus Shaheed Minar.

Fintech- the Future Money System and Unlocking the Door of Fintech Career
Nagad's Chief Business Officer Mr. Sheikh Aminur Rahman delivered a talk on "Fintech- the Future Money System and Unlocking the Door of Fintech Career" on 6 February 2023 at CIU Auditorium. Organized by CIU Business School, the event was the 1st episode of its kind under the "Connecting with C-Suite" series. The key speaker Mr. Sheikh Aminur Rahman illustrated the various aspects of the Fintech in his deliberation, and replied a flurry of queries of the audience. In the event, CIUBS Dean Prof. Dr. Syed Manzur Quader gave the opening remarks while Prof. Dr. MM Nurul Absar, Head of HRM Dept. passed the concluding remarks.

Next Generation Business Executives - A Global Perspective
The knowledge sharing seminar on “Next Generation Business Executives - A Global Perspective” was held 2 February 2023 at CIU Auditorium. It was jointly organized by Institute of Governance, Development, & Int'l Studies (IGDIS), Chittagong Independent University, and Bangladesh Center of Excellence (BCE) of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce & Industries. Prof. Abhilash S Nair from Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIMK), India remain present as the key speaker at the session. Prof. MM Nurul Absar, Director, IGDIS, CIU delivered the address of welcome while Mr. Omar Muktadir, Director of Reliance Assets and Development Ltd - A BCE Trustee Organization gave the opening remarks. A number of participants including the faculty members, students, and management members participated in the event.
