Ms. Ramisa Jahan, currently working as an Assistant Professor at School of Law, Chittagong Independent University (CIU), joined the institution as a Lecturer in January, 2021. Ms. Jahan completed her LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) from the University of London, in 2017, with a First Class. She was one of the fifteen students worldwide to achieve this result, in 2017. She obtained her LL.M. (Masters of Law) from the prestigious University of Cambridge in 2019, with an Upper Second Class, specializing in International Law.
Ms. Jahan also works in association with various international law journals, as reviewer and editor. Besides, Ms. Jahan has obtained practical legal experience in the courts, working under prominent advocates and barristers. Prior to joining CIU, she has been working as a Legal Associate at The Legal Circle, a reputed corporate law firm in Dhaka. Whilst pursuing her LLM in the UK, Ms. Jahan assisted Honourable Judge Wendy Joseph in a criminal trial, at The Central Criminal Court of England and Wales commonly referred as the Old Bailey.
