Certification Course in Women Entrepreneurship
Program Overview
The City Alo Certification Program is an initiative between the City Alo (the women banking segment of The City Bank Plc.) and Chittagong Independent University (CIU) to enhance the financial literacy of women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh. The Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainable Development (CEISD) of CIU offers this course in association with City Bank and CIU Business School.
Career Prospects
The program is developed with the purpose of increasing both technical knowledge and soft skills of the women entrepreneurs. The objective of this certification is to help women in their entrepreneurial endeavors mainly for gaining knowledge and honing skills for launching business, management of business or for scaling up their current business/es.

Through this specially designed program, women entrepreneurs are expected to get in-depth knowledge on building a successful business and also gather knowledge on many other crucial topics related to business.

| Course Fee | The cost of the Certification Program is BDT 10,000 out of which BDT 3,000 will be paid by the women entrepreneurs and the remaining BDT 7,000 will be borne by City Bank Plc. |
| Course Duration | The curriculum is designed 04 (four) weekly modules (with 25-30% focused on Soft Skills related to networking, presentation, negotiation and communication. Technical skills training will focus on accounting, tax management, sales planning, personal finance and cash management. |
| Class Days & Time | The mode of delivery of The Certification Program shall be classroom training at the University for a duration of one (01) month. There shall be three (03) hour-long classes with fifteen (15)-minute break, to be held on the weekend for 4 (four) weekends. Classes shall take place twice a week, and on every Friday and Saturday of the week. |
